Good grief! It’s Dr. Funk, the third song from the ever-growing Vanilla ‘66 album. This is a loving tribute to the great Vince Guaraldi (nickname “Dr. Funk”) who made a huge contribution to pop jazz with his music for the Peanuts cartoons in the 60’s, and went on to inspire pianists like George Winston, Bob James and many others. Listen closely for the little references to Lucy and Linus in there... This song was basically a live recording of a jazz trio with a few edits and overdubs in post.
