Bonjour! Let’s grab a cappuccino at a Parisian sidewalk cafe and drink in the whole tableau of street life as it unfolds before us. “Rue du Jour” is the newest addition to the ever-growing Vanilla|’66 imaginary soundtrack album.

This little waltz is a loving tribute to mid-60’s French cinema, with a big nod to composers like Henry Mancini who also tried to capture the City of Light in contemporaneous American film and television scores.

A special thanks to David Lange from the marvelous Pearl Django who joins us on this track playing accordion and musette.

This song is another soundtrack to an imaginary movie from the titular year, and we will release each individually until complete (at which point a CD or vinyl album will be released).
