about
Punk rock crashed its way to international attention in 1977 with the release of “Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols,” the Ramones’ “Rocket to Russia,” and “The Clash.”
“Where are you Jimmy?” —penned and sung by our drummer Scott Warfield (who also sings and plays guitar!) is an amalgamation of old-school punk elements that we captured using a decidedly less technical approach to show the real essence of the time (no fancy studio mics here just trusty period SM58’s and the group gathered ‘round). In 1977 they told us there was no future and who are we to argue?
lyrics
I don’t care what you say, you’re just a riddle anyway
I don’t care who’s in your way – I don’t
I don’t want to hear you whine, your disappearance was just in time
All the boys they got in line, and here they come
Where are you Jimmy
Ask Jo, she don’t know
Where are you Jimmy
Where are ya Jim
Have you found a new disguise, or look’n for that place to hide
We don’t need you on our side, but here you are
Where are you Jimmy
Where’d you go, nobody knows
Where are you Jimmy
C’mon Jimmy
Wise Guys in the night, just mighta got it right
They don’t care who’s in their way, nope
They don’t wanna hear more lies, your disappearance, that’s on their minds
All the boys they got in line, and here they come
Where are you Jimmy
Even Jo, she don’t know
Where are you Jimmy
Hey Jimmy, Where’d ya go
Where are you Jimmy
Well you’re the man, with all the plans
Where are you Jimmy - Why didn’t you just say goodbye
